It has been my privilege to practice cardiology on Cape Cod since 1993. The Cape is been a wonderful place to live, raise a family and practice. I have three busy teenage children, two girls and a boy, who are active in sports and attend the Barnstable school system.

I grew up in Wallingford, Connecticut, and attended Tufts University as an undergraduate and University of Connecticut for medical school. During the winter months I like to ski and in the spring, summer and fall I like to work in the yard, golf and fish and take advantage of living on Cape Cod.

My interests in medicine stem from a charismatic uncle who was a physician. He was someone that I admired and wished to emulate. I was also fortunate to have him serve as a mentor while in my fourth year of medical school.

During my internal medicine residency program at St Elizabeth's Hospital in Boston, I became interested in cardiology. Cardiology is an exciting, rewarding and dynamic field with a strong emphasis on diagnosis and treatment. I have been fortunate to practice cardiology during its "Golden age" when an extraordinary new array of diagnostic techniques as well as treatments have become available.

With my partner, Dr. Sullivan, we established Cardiovascular Consultants in 2006. We share a common philosophy of practice: Our goal is to provide state-of-the-art patient-oriented care in our beautiful community setting. It would be hard to imagine a more satisfying or gratifying career than improving the lives of others while living in the idyllic surroundings of this amazing sand bar we call home.
